How have we helped?
In 2008, Lord Mervyn Davis CBE asked Dr Charlotte di Vita MBE, founder of 21st Century Leaders & Whatever It Takes to join the Seeing is Believing committee as a board member.
21st Century Leaders helped Seeing is Believing to raise funds through the attendance of its 21st Century Leader Joseph Fiennes, to Seeing is Believing's New York Gala Dinner held on 6th Oct 2008. 21st Century Leaders also worked with its leaders Joseph Fiennes and Minnie Driver to create auction prizes to raise funds on the night. Details are:
• US$ 8,000 raised through a special auction prize of lunch with Joseph Fiennes kindly donated by Joseph himself.
• US$ 5,000 raised through a one-in-a-lifetime experience auction prize which entailed swimming with dolphins and Minnie Driver at Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel in California, kindly donated by Minnie Driver herself.

About Seeing is Believing
Seeing is Believing (SIB) is a global initiative to help tackle avoidable blindness through a collaboration between Standard Chartered Bank and the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).
SIB raised money to prevent and treat avoidable blindness. Every dollar raised is matched by Standard Chartered Bank – doubling their impact on the ground. So far, they have raised another US$20 million to reach more than 32 million people worldwide.
