How have we helped?
In November 2006 21st Century Leaders engaged the attendance of our leaders and commitment for celebrity auction prizes for The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Her Highness Sheikha Mozer bint Nasser Al Missned, The Heir Apparent of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani’s charity, Reach Out To Asia. The 21st Century Leaders' Auction Prize fetched US$450k at the Reach Out To Asia Gala Dinner Event, of which 50% was donated to Reach Out To Asia directly.

In 2009 The Royal Family of Qatar asked 21st Century Leaders to assist them with a second event. The 21st Century Leaders' Auction Prize fetched US$1m at the Reach Out To Asia Gala Dinner Event on 31st Oct 2009, of which 50% was donated to Reach Out To Asia directly.

The funds from the ROTA Gala Dinner in November 2006 to which 21st Century Leaders contributed its celebrities and arranged celebrity one of kind items for auction, have directly benefited over 12,000 people, and helped to build and rehabilitate 3 schools and a community library in Indonesia, 39 schools in Lebanon, 17 schools in Pakistan and a school, women’s centre and recreation space in Afghanistan.
About Reach Out To Asia (ROTA)
ROTA currently operates in six countries engaging youth; providing equal access to a safe, quality primary and secondary education; connecting communities; increasing opportunities; advocating for the universal right to education; and reaching out to assist in rebuilding communities after human-made and natural disasters.
ROTA applies the following tactics to accomplish their goals:
• Understanding the needs of local communities before offering solutions.
• Collaborating with communities to ensure programme support and sustainability.
• Empowering youth to become leaders in society.
• Promoting cultural dialogue and fostering a sense of unity.
• Employing cutting-edge technology to facilitate programmes
• Connecting universities within the region.
Seven of the least developed and poorest countries in Asia have been identified as ROTA priorities:
• Afghanistan • Indonesia • Bangladesh • Lebanon • Cambodia • Nepal • Pakistan
In each of their chosen countries, ROTA builds or adopts schools; promotes female education; improves the quality of primary health care; initiates academic fellowships; coordinates student exchange programmes; provides teacher and vocational training; and connects participating countries through a shared Knowledge Network.
